Welcome to the new Caius Film Society Website!
Caius FilmSoc is getting a cinematic overhaul and we want to share it with all of you. Based in the charmingly dinky Bateman Auditorium in Caius Court of Gonville and Caius College, the Film Society will be screening a range of movies every other week for a cost of only £2 film. We're not big or shiny or highly funded, we're slightly back-alley and interesting, offering a variety of styles and events - and that's how we think cinema should be.
Have you got a favourite movie or director? Do you watch the DVD over and over again on your 13" laptop screen dreaming of a comfortable seat and the big screen in glorious Technicolour? We want people from all over the university to be able to come to us to see stuff they've loved for ages shown as it should be shown, and also offer the opportunity to see something new, or even something old that they have "heard about and always wanted to see".
As well as Being John Malkovitch and Goodbye Lenin, this term FilmSoc will also be offering a Halloween double-feature: come along and cringe, chuck or chuckle at a grotesquely naff 70's B-movie (quite possibly 'Night of the Living Dead'), then cheer yourself up with the quite wonderful "Once More With Feeling" the musical version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (complete with the option to sing along).
